Our Team
Samantha Bails – Director
Samantha (Sam) commenced with Eastwoods Advisory in 1990 as a Filing/Administration clerk, followed by Reception/Office Manager roles over the next 18 years. In 2008, Sam made the decision to recommence her Bachelor of Commerce (Accounting) studies at the University of Adelaide graduating in 2014. She then completed the Chartered Accountants Program in 2016. After 30 plus years with Eastwoods Advisory, Sam was made a Director on 1st July 2021. Sam has grown up with many of our clients, forming long lasting relationships and friendships with them. Sam prides herself on building relationships with her clients, so she can assist in solving their business and taxation needs. Sam is also Xero Certified and assists clients with their in-house accounting needs. Sam specialises in all facets of tax and accounting, focusing on income tax & GST issues for businesses and individuals.
Kenton Inns – Director
Kenton is a Chartered Accountant, Chartered Tax Adviser, Tax Agent and holds a Bachelor of Economics from the University of Adelaide. Kenton has worked in public accounting since 1982, previously as a Manager with Price Waterhouse in Adelaide and Melbourne and a Partner with JK McLachlan & Co. He has been with Eastwoods for over 20 years and specialises in taxation consulting and business services to small to medium enterprises. Areas of expertise include taxation, CGT and GST advice, business establishment and restructuring, property development, superannuation, budgeting and cash flow.
Megan Kis – Senior Consultant
Megan is a Chartered Accountant and holds a Bachelor of Commerce from the University of South Australia. She started at Eastwoods in May 2024 and has over 20 years of working in small to mid-tier firms. Megan is experienced in providing accounting and taxation services to a wide variety of clients in various industries and believes in building strong relationships with her clients. Her clients know they can rely on her knowledge and experience to produce positive outcomes, and she is always striving to find ways of improvement.
Simon Mudie – Senior Consultant
Simon is a Chartered Accountant, Chartered Tax Adviser, Tax Agent, and holds a Bachelor of Economics from the University of Adelaide. Simon specialises in advising small businesses and the Health Sector, with his areas of expertise including taxation advice and planning, business structuring, asset protection, wealth accumulation, cashflow and finance management. Prior to joining Eastwoods, Simon’s previous experience was in audit and small business taxation with the Big Four including KPMG and Ernst & Young.
Vern Green – Accountant
Vern is a Certified Practicing Accountant with a Bachelor of Commerce (Accounting) from the University of SA and has been of providing accounting and taxation services to a wide variety of clients for over 30 years. He is experienced in providing financial reports, taxation advice, preparation of income tax returns and GST services to individuals, small and medium businesses, and self-managed superannuation funds.
Matthew Richter – SMSF Specialist
Matthew is a Self-Managed Superannuation Fund Specialist Advisor having completed the specialist designation with the SMSF association. He is also a qualified accountant holding a Bachelor of Commerce (Accounting) from the University of Adelaide. He has been with Eastwoods since 2011. Matthew provides accounting and taxation services to self-managed super funds, trusts, companies, and individuals.
Melanie Collett – Chartered Accountant
Melanie is a Chartered Accountant with a Bachelor of Commerce from the University of Adelaide and has over 15 years’ experience in the accounting industry in both Adelaide and Sydney. She is Xero Certified and assists clients with their in-house accounting needs. Melanie provides financial reporting, taxation and GST services to individuals, small and medium businesses over a variety of industries.
Denisa Kozma – Chartered Accountant
Denisa is a qualified Chartered Accountant with a Bachelor of Commerce from Flinders University and has over 13 years of experience in the accounting industry. She is proficient in preparing financial reports, income tax returns and providing GST services to individuals, small and medium businesses.
Karen Harris – Practice Manager
Karen has been with Eastwoods for over 35 years and is the Practice Manager. She is proficient in all aspects of computer systems management including client reporting, data processing and lodgement control. Karen is also experienced with taxation and accounting matters and can assist with client administration queries.
